Hello.
We are HomeRun
Our Vision
A world where every family’s favourite way to get to school is a sustainable way to get to school.
Our Mission
To harness technology and data to give families access to a range of convenient, realistic and sustainable transport options for the school run.
Who We Are
Meet the HomeRun Team...
Pooya Kamvari
CEO & Founder
A social entrepreneur, Pooya has 15 years’ experience in financial technology and start-ups. He is an associate fellow at Homerton College, University of Cambridge and an advocate for sustainability, mentoring several other start-ups focused on positive social and environmental change. His reason for taking a deep dive into the school run was witnessing its impact in North London and Cambridge (and as it turns out, pretty much everywhere else across the UK).

Matt Bittlestone
Product Manager
Matt has a decade of experience in operations, finance and digital product management and is a Chartered Global Management Accountant. Concerned about the dual challenges of climate change and too much traffic, he was happy to discover HomeRun, an organisation which tackles both. Hobbies include football, tennis and cycling around London’s streets during congestion-free school holidays.

Darius Butkis
Chief Technology Officer
Over 11 years industry experience, Darius has worked at award winning start ups and corporate clients such as Oracle. Twice topping the UK App Store chart with separate projects. He always enlightens the team with cutting edge technology tidbits. An avid basket ball player & runner, his active lifestyle was something he was very keen to adopt on the school run with his young family.

Daisy
School Success Manager
Daisy has spent much of the last decade supporting schools to implement positive community change, including projects run with the National Citizen Service and Persil. Her school-whispering techniques were initially developed in a four year
stint working on the frontline at both mainstream and specialist schools.
Her concerns about air pollution and children’s health meant working with HomeRun on a national (and international!) level was a no-brainer.

Mani Monibi
Product Developer
A dynamic product manager with a robust background in software engineering. His career journey began with a foundational degree in Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence. He is committed to cyber-security and helped HomeRun achieve the Cyber Essentials Plus certification. His experience of the school run involved stressful drives across London. He wants to save other children from the same fate.
Mira Taylor
Creative Director
Mira has a wealth of design experience, from running her own successful fashion brand, working with big names like Coca Cola and the BBC, to creating HomeRun’s playful look and feel.
As well as a HomeRun employee, she is a HomeRun parent. Her son’s school was an early adopter, and she has had the app on her phone since 2018.

Claire McDonald
Communications Czar
Claire was a newspaper journalist for over
a decade, before she worked with brands such as John Lewis and Tesco, as a content marketeer. However, sidetracked by the climate crisis, she began to campaign against air pollution, particularly in relation to it’s affect on children. It was while doing this she discovered HomeRun.

Nicola Pastore
HR
Nicola has in-depth expertise in data analytics having spent over 15 years in finance and analysis roles in industry and consulting. She has driven strategic change across media, technology and
data businesses. Since having children, and seeing the school run firsthand, she has become a passionate advocate for reducing car-use in cities, particularly around schools.
