# Exciting Launch of HomeRun STEP: The Future of School Travel in the UK
Transforming School Journeys with Machine Learning
We are delighted to announce the launch of our brand new, game-changing platform, HomeRun STEP. This is the UK’s first machine learning intelligence platform designed to accurately model every single school journey across the UK. It shows where to intervene for maximum sustainable travel impact.
Part-funded by the Department for Transport (DfT), United Kingdom via Innovate UK, STEP unlocks the potential for profound transformation across the school run. We are shifting the focus away from paperwork to scalable and measurable active travel and decarbonisation outcomes.
