Our St Albans’ neighbourhood network, featured in two publications.
The first was published in TransportXtr and her sister publication Local Transport Today, an independent journal for transport decision makers. The piece looks at the scheme and the impact it has had in its first year, on the five primary schools and 1,000+ families that have signed up. Results so far show a 4.1% increase in active travel; an 8% increase in journey sharing and a 4.% reduction in car-use.

The second was published in The MJ and looks at why active travel is the right solution for some journeys - specifically those under 1.5 miles. But those over that need different solutions, and until we offer them, driving rates will remain high.
